AgarFund takes your privacy very seriously. We will not pass your personal details on to anyone, except the charity you have chosen to support, without your express consent. Your name and email address may be given to the charity so they can identify you as the source of donations received.
Please note that by visiting or registering with AgarFund you are agreeing to the practices detailed below, so please read carefully to find out how we will treat your information.
3. Donor information
If you donate on AgarFund, we collect your first and last name, email address (donors from Ethiopia) and your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) and your billing address if you donate outside of Ethiopia. We will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation via our payment partners, like PayPal and yenePay.
If you have AgarFund account, you can change your contact preferences at any time by visiting the section entitled “your details”.
4. Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Charities’ use of your personal information
Where your personal details have been passed to a charity through our website, we accept no responsibility for the subsequent use of your personal information by the charity. If you wish to stop receiving further communications from a charity, please contact them directly.
Security precautions to protect your information
The transfer of online transaction data to and from the website is protected by the implementation of SSL Certificate. It is your responsibility to keep your password secure at all times to avoid unauthorized use of your AgarFund or other payment processing account.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
